Would have liked him over Ramps/ Key/ Trott but didn't think he'd want to play, and if he did, would get picked though

Agreed with Sam - would have definitely played Trescothick over anyone else i.e. key proven performer at international cricket vs proven non-performer at international cricket (Ramps + Key) and complete unknown (Trott).
