How long?
How long before "Aussie" Dave Marshall posts about Phil Jaques' hundred made on debut (Ed. it has subsequently been pointed out it's wasn't his debut!) against the Sri Lankan's? I give it a few hours max. It sounds like a good innings but also one that had it's fair share of luck as he was dropped twice - the first time on 60, but a real average of 60 isn't bad.

Dave - you have let me down!
Sorry to letyou down Ed. I did consider posting about Jaques' ton, but to be honest, I didn't see much of it either.
All I will say about this is that Jacques is a quality player and I really hope he does well. At least this ton will give him a somewhat extended run to prove himself.
PS, I hate to correct you Ed but this was not his debut. He filled in a couple of times for Justin Langer when he was injured.....I think one test against South Africa and two against Bangladesh.
