Having read about Essex's amazing penultimate ball victory yesterday, I of course went straight to the ECB's site to check out the highlights. Day 3 was on there but no day 4 yet....a little way to go yet if they want to reawaken interest in the LV= County Championship. Any ideas who LV= are anyway?!?
They were Liverpool Victoria, originally a friendly society now an insurance company. Another case of a meaningless "modern" name introduced no doubt at great expense, but totally irrelevant to their current and potential customers.
