Step up Xavier Doherty
People were asking who he was, so what a way for Xavier Doherty to respond, taking Australia to a crushing victory in their ODI v Sri Lanka.
[Later note....Ahem. I made the mistake of thinking Australia could close the game out but it appears they didn't! That will teach me to post before the end of a match...apologies!]
Crazy!!! I thought about not posting to the end of the game after Razzaq's innings the other day....it seems no result is ever certain these days. But I thought a Sri Lankan win was just too far-fetched. Came out a meeting to see they'd won! Incredible....
I think they're trying to court underdog sympathy and are are als using whatever is the reciprocal of competence to build expectations and therefore pressure onto us.
Sorry Ed, your link to a crushing victory shows a crushing win by Sri Lanka. At 107-8 Richie Benaud said "this isn't over until Mathews is out"
