Bye bye !

What's more startling than what Boycott said about Yardy is that he actually can't see depression as an illness as opposed to just being a bit gloomy. With a bit of luck the broadcasters will treat him like Andy Gray and that other bloke. A World Cup that saw the end of having to listen to his ego-centric outbursts as well as not having to watch that dart player would be a really memorable and worthwhile World Cup

A bit harsh on Yardy I think there Mave! All he's ever been guilty of is making the most of his little (in international terms) ability to force his way into the England side ahead of more talented spinners. And with a decent degree of success - I'd continue to play him in Twenty20 and I'd certainly keep him in consideration for ODIs in future, although perhaps not in the 1st team.

I agree with you re Boycott though. The sooner that someone has some balls and sacks him (sorry, doesn't renew his contract), the better for everyone. He'll make more money by being rude about the Indian players instead so it'd be win win.

Perhaps Mavis can clarify, but I didn't think the 'dart player' was a reference to Yardy...

Oh no, now you've pointed it out, I think you may be right. He's talking about the highest international wicket-taker in the history of the game isn't he?!?

Poor old Murali - whether you believe he has a bent arm or not, a man of such (much reported by those that know him) good humour/manners, should be sent on his way in style. I'd like to see him playing in the final.
