Strauss' declaration

Personally I'd like to see Strauss declare when England score 250ish and then have massively attacking fields. But when Strauss will declare is a debatable point....this blog post predicting 224 for the declaration made me chuckle.

I hear Botham was going nuts on Sky commentary about the declaration timing. For me the declaration was fine, but the attacking fields that mean they score at a rate that keeps them in with a chance was what was lacking, but I say that as someone who only watched the odd little snippet!

I too felt the declaration was spot on, despite what most commentators were saying. And Strauss was able to set attacking fields almost throughout. The best bit, however, was that Monty seems to have learnt a bit about F&G, although the current suggestion that he doesn't understand the Laws (not rules) does make a lot of sense.

I said laws didn't I? Apologies if not!
