436 - not bad for a 12 year-old

This innings in India relegates Sachin Tendulkar to 10th in the all time top scorers in this Indian schoolboys competition. So there's a pretty decent chance that you'll hear about Sarfaraz Khan again in a few years time....

I see that the 10 also include Sachin Tendulkar, Vinod Kambli, Ashok Mankad and Wasim Jaffer. Not bad 40% going onto super-duper level - I bet that's a much better figure than most coaches would be happy with

Vinod was pretty good - I can vouch for that....after he got his hundred edging through the slips off me for Hounslow in a TVL game many years ago. I promise, it was an edge rather than a guide!

He had earlier scored 6 sixes in an over off our leg-spinner at the other end! But we were batting second, knocked them off no problem and won the game!
